Mario`s Tacos in Blue Island

We ordered take away - the food was good and the people were nice. Nothing was extra special but we didn't experience dining in.

We have been going to Mario's for 40 years. We now live in Homer Glen but continue to visit on a regular basis. Mario we hope your medical condition has improved and look forward to your beautiful garden this spring. Gotta go as we are now on our way to your restaurant with 10 family members for my birthday.

Off the path authentic mex. Try it if you're in the neighborhood. Only thing is no steak tacos, only beef or chicken.

We have been going to Mario's Tacos for decades. Love, love, this place. Great food and service. We have known the staff for many years, when they were kids. The staff is kind and friendly and give great service, very attentive. Just went for my sisters 70th Birthday. Enjoyed the whole experience

Food was really good, like I remember when I was a kid. Only one server and given the pole of dirty dishes and time to get our food, he may have been the only one working at all. Still enjoyable as we weren't in a rush.

As always Mario's is the best . And celebrating skips birthday with his sister angie and myself. Awesome times and good food. Thank you marios

Mario's tacos is a staple of Blue Island and the South suburbs and offers a very simplistic menu with quality food ingredients and authentic Mexican recipes. I have been going to Mario's for over 20 years and it has Always maintained its quality And prices. If you do not enjoy your experience or the food at marios tacos then there's something wrong with you.

I've been going to this wonderful restaurant before it was at its current location from back in the 70s. I love that they don't assume that people like ANY spice in their food and it is just very traditional. If my kids like going there that is a big deal to me.

Best Mexican food by far!!!! I can’t find anything like this or even close to their food. The chicken enchiladas are the best with the suiza. I also get the beef and chicken tacos with corn tortillas shells. The salsa and chips are terrific and the fries are addicting I add salsa and suiza and I’m in heaven’s palate. The margaritas are amazing and they’ve been the best in town for years. Every time I’m home I also visit and even when I’m miles away I drool over the idea of having their authentic Mexican flavors. Haven’t found one place to come close ever. The prices are very affordable and the service has been great for over 20 years I’d high recommend this place if you’re look for a flavor unmatched and affordable on the wallet.

The Best. Mexican. Ever.

Great food and friendly service

I will be in this week as this is a must go to stop for me while in Illinois and I’m shocked by some of the negative reviews, this place has been perfectly consistent for 45 years I have been eating here since I was 3 and it’s always been the same. I do not get the complaints on no steak tacos when all you have to do is order the Carne Asada and there are your steak tacos, my favorite is the regular ground beef tacos that are the same as they were when Mario was just a Dude with a taco cart I will eat here any time I’m back in Illinois until I’m gone or The restaurant is gone, god forbid. I wish I could rate higher and I’m glad Mario knows the key to a successful restaurant which is simply if it’s not broken don’t fix it........Nothing but love here !!!

Had a fantastic experience in this spot with my girlfriend. The food comes rapidly and the service is just fantastic. Prices are convenient.

Mario's has always been one of our favorites. The food was still great, but they are having difficulty keeping up with demand for carry out snd resumed indoor and outdoor dining, and we waited firever for service. This wasn't the server's fault; she was overwhelmed. Also, one employee wasnt wearing a face mask properly. I hope i can give them a better rating next time we go. We ate outside; won't do kndoor dining yet.

For having tacos in the name, you only had 2 choices for tacos. Food was still good, just not a lot of choices.. We crossed it off our list, but will not be returning for a second try.

Waitress is rude and ignorant. As soon as we walked in she had a attitude. On top of taking 25 min to take my order. Poor service! It’s not our fault your working there and don’t like it.

This restaurant is my preferred one. I go to plenty of restaurants but to this restaurant I constantly return again and again. The stuff is very friendly and the cooking they cook is so tasty. I would always prefer to have a good dinner in this restaurant. I recommend this place with pleasure.
